Torino 2008 World Design Capital

GMG was invited to be part of the consulting board of the first edition of World Design Capital.

Due to her experience in the conceptualization and realisation of the experimentadesign bienal in Lisbon (EXD), GMG was invited to participate in the consulting board of the first edition of World Design Capital.

Starting in 2007, GMG traveled several times to Torino to work on the programme and its branding. One of the themes was Flexibility and Design, which led GMG to be invited by the direction board to commission one of the main exhibitions  – ““Flexibility – Design in a Fast Changing Society”.

The event opened in June 2007 and brought to Torino the work of over 80 well regarded international designers, such as Jasper Morrison, the Campana brothers, James Irvine, Martí Guixé, Ross Lovegrove, Patricia Urquiola, Giulio Iacchetti and Matali Crasset, and Stefan Sagmeister.
